Where or When (ANENON REMIX)
“Where or When” is the first track off of Gold and Soil‘s brand new, self-titled LP. This remix goes for the gold, integrating the experimental original into the throws of some sharp synth beats that delicately disseminate as the track plays out.
Gold and Soil’s LP is out now on Non Projects and can be streamed/downloaded on FriendsofFriends. FREE DL of this remix here.

NYC TACO is very proud to be able to announce the inaugural show for our friends, Brooklyn-based theater company, Billy & Co.
This weekend, they will open their very first full length production of August Strindberg’s A Dream Play.
Yesterday, the Brooklyn-based graffiti artist KAWS debuted his famous character Companion as a giant balloon in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. We would like to congratulate KAWS on this incredible feat. The Macy’s Parade is one of the most traditional traditions NYC has to offer and, although KAWS is a very well known artist, graffiti is still something of the underground. Being able to insert this art form into a mainstream, cookie-cutter venue is not only something we should applaud KAWS for acheiveing, but also we should give a major kudos to the organizers for acknowledging the talent of an urban artist while furthering the message : SUPPORT THE ARTS.

“We Came To” is the latest video from NYC pop-synth group The Crystal Ark, marking the recent debut of their self-titled LP released on DFA records.
The video is directed by the group’s own Viva Ruiz and is an intergalactic exploration of the experimental body-talking vibes wafting off this track. The innovative video vision and avant-garde approach to sound remind us of what Hot Chip may have been if they had never been considered mainstream. Can’t wait to see more from these guys!
A Baauer “throw-back” if you will. Pretty mellow as far as Baauer goes, but he never compromises his signature bass slapping.
